Recently, Ben McPherson and his worker(s), undertook the remodel of the bathroom in the mobile home where my daughter ( Wendy Ingrum) lives. The tub had leaked and the floor had dissolved, the room was a mess. Did I say that the tub was a non-standard size. I discussed what I wanted for the bathroom with Ben and he gave me his ideas as to what some options would be and what the job would cost. The work was done on time and on cost. The attention to details, whether known at the time of the proposal or found "in process" was phenomenal.

I was out of town while the work was being done so it got done professionally under the integrity of Ben and "without the interference of the owner".

I own a 100-year-old home in a historic neighborhood.  I needed a very bad addition to my home torn down and a covered porch with railings built to return my home to its original glory. 
 

I heard of Ben through a coworker who gave him a glowing reference.  He very much lived up to that referral!  He was professional and was more than willing to work with my time and budget constraints.   His worker, Brant, is a true craftsman.   I've lived through major remodeling of two homes so I speak from experience.  Brant also did an immaculate clean up of my yard, respectful of my landscaping.  The covered porch fits perfectly with the style of my home and is constructed so well that I believe it could withstand a hurricane.
  

I would recommend Ben and Brant to anyone.

Ben,

My family would like to thank you so much for partnering with us in creating our first dream home. While this was our first experience in a new home build it was not our first experience with a builder. We had to gut our first home and basically start all over. The process was pains taking and the Contractor and subs were less than helpful throughout the process.

I cannot tell you how much difference working with you has been! From the planning stages down to the last tweak on the home you and your subs have been precise, humble, meticulous, conscientious, caring, and consistent. We have felt like a part of a family creating a home rather than a customer hoping to get close to what we hoped for. You and your team had a wonderful balance of taking and implementing our suggestions and standing firm on what would really work or not work when appropriate.

We, Bob and Karen Spellmann, wish to commend Ben McPherson to you. We employed Mr. McPherson as a contractor for the purpose of repairing water damage to our floors and remodeling a bathroom. The work was done exactly as we asked and exceeded our expectations several times.

The water damage was more extensive than we expected including a surprising amount of ruined floor on both sides of a wall between the kitchen and living room, two more kitchen walls, and damage to the bottoms of fairly new cabinets that we really liked. Ben offered good counsel about providing information to our insurance company. He complied promptly with two requests for information from our homeowner's insurance agent and, I believe, helped us prove the need for more substantial help from insurance than we would have gotten without Ben. Even more, the skill of Ben's subcontractors was impressive in repairing water damage to walls and restoring cabinets within the insurance funds.

From the start we explained to Ben the budget and constraints within which we wished to work. We had a set amount that we wished to spend, and we knew we had a longer wish list than our budget was likely to allow. We prioritized the list for him and required that no task, once begun, be left incomplete. Ben met and exceeded our requirements. He kept us fully informed throughout the construction. His subcontractors were skilled, prompt, and efficient. The work was done exactly as we asked, and was all that we hoped. We are always pleased when we can show the remodeling to our friends.

Prospective Home Buyers:

My husband and I have lived in Weatherford, TX now for 4 years. We just moved for the fourth time and now own our second home. We purchased the McPherson Custom Home at 114 Rachel Rd this past month.

Before buying this home we looked all over Parker County at more than 25 new and used homes by various builders. It seemed we would like some things about a home, but not all, until we walked into this McPherson Home. We liked the neighborhood, the lot, the builder, and the home itself. Since we moved in, we have really enjoyed all the "little details" like the crown molding, neutral tri-color scheme, built-in hutch, eyebrow arches, cultured granite counters, big porches, and extra-generous closet room that initially attracted us to the home.

We cannot say enough good about the builder, Ben McPherson. He is knowledgeable, easy to deal with, and fair. He builds a structurally sound home with lots of extras at a great price. It is evident by his attitude and follow through that he is in the business not just to build and sell houses but to create HOMES for families like mine to enjoy for years to come.

When our growing family outgrew our small home, we decided on an addition rather than purchasing a larger home for a number of reasons. It was extremely important to us that our house not appear "built-onto", so we were very clear with the prospective builders we talked with of our expectations. Ben McPherson came highly recommended by a friend, so he was among three builders who looked at what we had and what we wanted and gave us estimates for the work. Right away, we had a feeling that he would be our choice because he seemed to ask the right questions and was attentive to what we wanted rather than trying to talk us into what he wanted for us. Luckily, he also came back with the best estimate.

With Ben's help, in the past four months, we have gone from just an idea, to a set of plans to an additional 700 square feet of space and the appearance of a new home. Throughout the construction process, we have been able to remain in our home and Ben and his contractors have worked around us. When we made modifications to the plans, they were made without any sign of reluctance or frustration on his part. He worked with us to get us what we wanted within a budget we could live with. To whom it may concern:

In November 1999, my wife and I decided to build a home on an acreage we owned east of Wynnewood, Oklahoma. Unfortunately, finding a builder was a difficult task due to the fact that this was shortly after the 1999 F-5 tornado hit Oklahoma City. Defeat was about to set in when we met a realtor in Pauls Valley who introduced us to a builder in Wynnewood by the name of Ben McPherson. We didn't have a specific plan in mind, but Ben had built two spec homes in Wynnewood and he let us take a look at them. We liked what we saw and asked Ben if he would build us our home. He said yes and construction began in March. Ben took care of the final plans and cost estimates.

During this time several changes were made and we found Ben to be very helpful in this area. He allowed us to choose the lighting fixtures, tile and carpet as well as the kitchen and bathroom fixtures.

It was a real pleasure working with Ben and his wife, Sharon, who helped with color schemes, etc.

In November 2000 we moved into our new home, being very pleased with the results.

We felt that during the construction that Ben was always striving to do the best he could to make sure that we were happy. By the way, Ben still checks in with us from time to time just to see how we are doing.

When my wife and I decided to build our house, we contacted several local builders, one of those being Ben McPherson. We were able to tour several of the houses he had already built and were pleased with the results and with his reputation.

The materials that were used in our home were all first rate. The sub-contractors Ben used were ones he had used in the past and he knew to be knowledgeable and competent in their work. Each of the sub-contractors as well as Ben worked with us until the house came together to our satisfaction. Ben was there on a regular basis and made sure the work being done was up to his standards. He was easy to work with, easy to deal with, and helped us with decisions that improved the look and quality of our home.

We would recommend Ben to anyone as a builder. If we ever need to build another house, we would use him again if he was available.
